Remembering Those Who Sacrificed for Us

Welcome

The Vietnam Wall of Southwest Florida in Veterans Park

Punta Gorda Florida, honors the 58,300 +  men and

women who made the ultimate sacrifice.  An important purpose of the wall is to educate present and future generations of the Vietnam War's history so that we do not repeat those turbulent times in the future.

Major General Richard "Dick" Carr, USAF ret.

Design Elements

The Vietnam Wall of Southwest Florida in Veterans Park is located adjacent to Laishley Park in  Punta Gorda, Fl.  The wall is a half scale replica of the original in Washington, D.C. The granite is from the same source as the original and details, such as the slope of the wall, follow the design of architect Maya Lin.
